Right now all teams find themselves in trekking's section.
From PC4 Pinto to PC5 Skyring there are 90 arduous trekking's km, this course starts on the same edge that they reach when they finish the fixed ropes. This conducts them among Patagonian forests to a mountainous higher cord, reaching the 900 m of altitude (the racers come from the sea level). Next 8 km descend to South where they will have to cross a great and long peat bog of 20 km length to the Southeast.... It is equivalent to walk on broken sponges, mixed with sand and everything fulfilled of water!
Once the peat bog was finished go up again to a mountainous cord, by a stony land, they pierce a bankrupt child and next they walk down an edge to the Perez's river valley... There they will find another peat bog, but 12 km length only. If this is not enough, they will have to walk down Perez river to the sea in Seno Skyring following the river. The river in general is quite broad, but shallow. There are stretches where the riverbecomes narrow and the one and only alternative is in to ascend toward the forests again.
The last few kilometers before going out to the sea come true for a gratifying path that soon becomes a track's footprin to the PC5 where they retake the mountain bikes.

The teams have maintained his places, but FUKAWI and LA CLUSAZ RAID AVENTURE are leading this section.
11:00 hrs. Not yet arrives no team to PC5 Skyring.
17:36 Finally! Alter a long wait one team reached the PC5 Skyring, they are the super tough French team LA CLUSAZ RAID AVENTURE, they are very tired but in good conditions, a hard mountain bike course is waiting for them, maybe they will rest for a while.
Behind them is coming the SALOMON RUSSIA team, they will be soon at PC5, all the rest of the teams are far away, almost 4 or more hours behind.
17:45 One more team arrived at PC5, they are the SALOMON RUSSIA, a very strong team as well, just a few minutes after the French team. They seem to be very well since they left the PC just 28 minutes later, at 18:13.
LA CLUSAZ RAID AVENTURE, did the same at 18:15, so they are now mountain biking together.
21:00 hrs the two teams leadering, LA CLUSAZ RAID AVENTURE and SALOMON RUSSIA have crossed by ferry to Riesco island, getting them only 69 km of mountainbike, to get to the section of kayak in Seno Otway.
23:33 hrs the team GLOBALSTAR CHILE has arrived at the PC5 Skyring. In order to recover energy they will sleep in the PC.
00:53 hrs. Two new teams finished the trekking course and will rest a few hours at PC5 Skyring, KINGS OWN CALGARY REGIMNET with FUKAWI.
04:05 FUKAWI start again with their mountain bikes to PC6 Otway.
04:06 KINGS OWN CALGARY REGIMNET start again with their mountain bikes to PC6.
at 06:30 GLOBALSTAR CHILE leaves the PC5 in the morning on their bikes towards PC6 Otway; before they must cross by ferry in the area of Rio Verde. Is in this locality where there are installed the some of our journalist, at Ilustre Municipalidad de Río Verde.
08:04 This morning, the other French team ALLIER AVENTURE, arrived at PC5. Its female member is not in the best condition because of the lesion on her shoulder, made during the last bike course. They decided not to go on with the race. They are now resting at the Municipality of Rio Verde and will be taken to Punta Arenas as soon as possible. They will stay at Albergue during the next days.
08:05 Other team: MENETUE OPTIMUM NUTRITION arrived and is now resting at PC5 before continuing with the race.
08:30 GLOBALSTAR CHILE, THE KING'S OWN CALGARY REGIMENT and FUKAWI have crossed by ferry to Riesco island.
09:30 The race director received a satellite phone call from the emergency kit of the team MAGALLANES-AUSTRALES TEAM, they told him, they are all right, but they realized they where not going to get the PC5 on time, so they are coming without assistance, but in a slower rhythm.
Something similar happened to DAP ANTARTICA, its Capitan Nicolas Pivcevic called using his emergency kit, to inform that one of the members was exhaust, they doesn't need assistance, but by arriving PC5 will be transported to Punta Arenas with the MAGALLANES AUSTRALES TEAM.
