At CP 2: Puerto Nuevo, the first seven teams are close together and are showing they are in excellent shape for the race.
Now the teams go into the sea kayaking section at Bahía Inútil, paddling approximately 64 km. The weather conditions are ideal, very calm winds coming in from the northeast protect the bay nicely.
These conditions are ideal, without a doubt some of the best days this summer. The dolphins follow some teams for hours, coming up close to the kayaks, very friendly, even close enough to be touched.

AT CP 3: Cabo Cameron, the New Zealand team Xinix Water Purification takes first place. At this point the first three teams widen their lead by more than an hour ahead of the second group of teams
(*) Due to shared errors both by the team and the organization, DAP Antartica Expedition could not navigate this section. To be able to estimate their time between CP2 & CP3 it will be necessary to consider their performance related to the others in the next kayak
The teams continue advancing, after finishing the kayaking in Bahía Inútil, they will pick up their mountain bikes at CP3.
