From Paciencia the racers advance for more than 30 km crossing a wide valley the route takes them through forests and peat bogs, the only "path" is the faint farm cattle and horse track, if they lose it, they will end up in a swampy forest full of calafate bushes and other spiky bushes... also beaver ponds flooding these swampy valleys. The next 17 km are peat bogs and the last 5 km are along a vehicle road going up to CP8: CMT Deseado.... but the racers don't know that the forests are just beginning ....

The team Tierra del Fuego haven't arrived at CP6 yet, this check point will stay open till 6:00 AM tomorrow, if they don't get there on time, they will be moved on by the organization, disqualified from the race.
Xinix Water Purification is still heading the race. Today at 17:05 they arrived at CP8 CMT Deseado, they rested for only 50 minutes then continued their journey southwards.
On this third day of the competition, the leading teams have kept their distances but Xinix Water Purification is leading the group permanently.
